The Solutions Service program created by our Professional Services division has been packaged to best suit your needs depending upon where you are in your development or migration process. The biggest key to its success is our Customer Success Model and the Professional Services we offer at each of its steps.

Sharing your Vision

Share your company's enterprise vision with those who will be implementing it. Drive home the benefits of re-invigorating your organization with our unique offerings. Show how distributed computing shortens the business cycle and provides the responsiveness to on-going changes required by successful companies. Understanding the distributed computing concepts gives your company a "big picture" view and will guide you to the future.

Readiness Assessment

When everyone shares the vision, you then need to determine the readiness of your organization or team. Understanding how your computing environment should be adjusted or re-invigorated. Identify where your team requires new or revitalized skills to carry out the enterprise vision for your organization. Also this is where you clearly define your user requirements.

Foundation Knowledge

At this step, you want to implement the education plan you created during the Executive Assessment step. This is where you can bring your team up to speed on:

Strategies
CISC to Microsoft .NET Framework
MVS/DOS/VSE Batch to Windows
Migrating IDMS, IMS & VSAM Data to SQL Databases
Legacy Migration to Linux Hardware/Systems
Extending Service Oriented Legacy Architecture

Tools
Programming languages (C, C++, Java, ASP.NET)
IDEs & IMEs (Eclipse, MyEclipse, JBuilder, Delphi, Visual Studio)
Databases (Oracle, Sybase, Informix, SQL Server, DB2, MySQL)
Infrastructure (TCP, DCE, CORBA, J2EE, SOA)
Web Application Frameworks (Joomla, DotNetNuke)
Operating Systems (Unix, Red Hat Linux, HP-UX, MPE, RTE-A, AIX, IRIX, Solaris, Windows NT, 98, 2K, XP, Vista)

Implementing the Pilot Infrastructure
It is now time to implement the infrastructure identified by the computing requirements defined during the Executive Assessment step.

Pilot Design and Delivery
Test for proof of concept. This is your sandbox to test out your enterprise vision in a controlled setting. You can test whether you have met your user requirements and refine those needs.

Design And Planning
The design plan needs to outline your project goals and defines requirements to meet those goals. Using the final design plan, we will work with you in determining what is needed to implement and deploy the plan.

Development and Testing
Building on your vision, the foundation knowledge you have introduced, the experience of piloting, and your design plan, you now start the development. The integration of a Testing Strategy is key to successfully exercise each of the new systems' features.

Production
Now that you have applications working in a distributed environment, you need to set up the environment for your users. Thing to remember are user training and ongoing maintenance plans.

Results Analysis
This is where you take a look back and determine the success of the solution implementation. Did you achieve your goals? Are your users satisfied? What is the next step?
